Torrox with its population of aprox. 8000 is situated only 3 kilometers from the coast called Torrox Costa. Meandering up the hillside, is the epitome of what you expect of a Spanish town. Dating back to the eleventh century, it is a haven of whitewashed walls and balconies bursting with flowers, narrow, cobbled and sometimes steep streets.

The heart and center of local activity is Plaza de la Constitution, where everyone do their daily shopping in the mornings. The market is brimming with fresh fish, vegetables and bread, still warm from the local bakers. At night the plaza is the hubbub of the social life of the town with restaurants and dining al fresco, bars where you can relax with friends and enjoy the local vines, accompanied by Tappas, while you watch the colorful local nightlife unfold around you.

Torrox Costa, with a stretch of 9 kilometers of outstanding beaches, offers all the amenities for which the entire Costa del Sol has become one of the most sought after vacation spots in Europe. Torrox, with a view of the ocean on one side and the breathtaking Almijara mountains, snow capped in winter, on the other, has justifiably been called the town with the best climate in Europe.
