This town house is located in the centre of the village
|
This very charming townhouse was renovated only 3 years ago in the rustic Spanish style conserving as many original features as possible such as wooden beams, wooden doors, tiles etc. All the different levels are charmingly connected by short staircases giving the interior living space a very homely and warm ambience. On entering the house there is a hallway, a bathroom and a very cosy living-room with a wood-burning stove. A few steps lead down to a study, a patio on two levels (one of them covered) and a double bedroom were the old wine press now serves as a bedstead.
From the living-room a flight of stairs takes you up to a second double bedroom and a single one. From there you carry on into a stylish and practical kitchen and then higher up to a spacious dining-room with a balcony. From the balcony one can enjoy unspoilt views over the rest of the village, the surrounding countryside and the mountains of the Sierra Tejeda Wildlife Reserve. Mains water and electricity are connected. An existing roof terrace could be easily accessed by a stairway from the kitchen or the living-room. This attractive house can be used as a permanent residence, a holiday home or for rental purposes. It featured recently on English television’s "A Place in the Sun", as an example of how a ruin can be turned into a very charming home.
